Our Leadership Team

Ted Barr | CO-FOUNDER

Ted has more than 35 years of experience in the real estate industry. His areas of expertise include acquisitions, dispositions, sale/leasebacks, partnership structuring, foreclosure sales, short sales, due diligence, and finance. At Woodside Health, he is responsible for acquisitions, dispositions and financing. He has seen an idea that he and his co-founders conceived over dinner grow to an entity with multiple buildings across the U.S. with a market value exceeding $750 million.

Prior to co-founding Woodside Health, Ted co-founded Crescendo Commercial Realty, a real estate acquisition and investment firm focused on acquiring and managing retail, office, medical office, industrial and land investments. Before Crescendo, Ted co-founded Allegro Realty Advisors, a multi-million dollar corporate real estate consulting and brokerage firm. During his real estate brokerage career, Ted has been directly responsible for over three billion dollars in transactions and has worked in almost every state in the U.S. and many other countries.

Ted served as a Senior Manager in the Real Estate Solutions and Financial Advisory Practices with Deloitte & Touche, with an emphasis on the integration of corporate real estate, corporate finance, and capital markets. His specialty was the alignment of corporate real estate assets to serve operational needs, including monetization and mergers and acquisitions.

Ted has received many industry awards, including the Office Transaction of the Year and Investment Broker of the Year Award by the Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and Deloitte’s National Leadership in Real Estate Award.

A graduate of Miami University, Ted holds a Bachelor of Science in Business, and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Ohio. He holds the CCIM designation.

Joe Greulich | Co-Founder

Joe has more than 15 years of real estate experience serving corporate, retail and real estate investment clients in portfolio management, financial advisory and transaction implementation services. His areas of expertise include real estate outsourcing, portfolio optimization and real estate transaction management.

Prior to co-founding Woodside Health, Joe co-founded Crescendo Commercial Realty, a real estate acquisition and investment firm focused on acquiring and managing retail, business office, medical office, industrial and land investments. Before Crescendo, Joe co-founded Allegro Realty Advisors, a multi-million dollar corporate real estate consulting and brokerage firm.

Joe served as a Manager in the Real Estate Solutions practice of Deloitte & Touche, LLP. His real estate background also includes being a member of the Capital Markets and Corporate Real Estate practices of Cleveland Real Estate Partners, which was acquired by Deloitte in 1999.

Joe has received many professional awards including the Office Transaction of the Year from the Cleveland Chapter of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, and Deloitte & Touche’s National Leadership in Real Estate Award. In 2010, Joe received the Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty under 40” award.

Joe earned his B.S. in Business Administration-Finance from The University of Akron and is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Ohio.

Jarry Yu | VP - Due Diligence & Closing

Jarry joined Woodside team in 2016 with a background in Banking and Finance. His responsibilities include financial modeling, underwriting, and due diligence. Jarry also leads efforts in exploring different debt and equity solutions. He received his Master of Science in Finance from Case Western Reserve University. He has passed CFA Level III and earned his designation in 2020. During his spare time, Jarry enjoys traveling around the country with his wife, trying new foods and visiting national parks.

Gary Butler | VP - Asset Management

Gary has over 6 years of experience in healthcare real estate, working on numerous acquisitions, dispositions and refinances. His responsibilities include due diligence, closing, and managing Woodside’s portfolio of MOBs.

Gary earned his Bachelor of Science in Finance from Brigham Young University. He and his wife enjoy exploring the great outdoors, playing with their 3 kids and getting together with their large families.

Ben Sheridan | Co-Founder

Ben has been instrumental in establishing the real estate firm as a leader in acquiring and managing medical office buildings. He is responsible for underwriting, financial modeling and investor relations.

Ben has been active in retail, office and medical real estate projects for over fifteen years. He has financed over fifty residential real estate transactions in another one of his businesses, Blue Durham Properties LLC.

Ben is also an active investor in and advisor to rapidly growing technology and financial services companies.

Previously, Ben spent fifteen years at Progressive Insurance Company. He was General Manager of several divisions, and in his last position, had profit and loss responsibility for $3 billion of insurance premium. Prior to Progressive, he was a Management Consultant at McKinsey & Company and a Financial Consultant at Arthur Andersen & Company.

Ben chaired the Board of the Montefiore Housing Corporation and is vice-chair of the Board of Directors of the Montefiore Home, both of which are leading non-profit organizations involved in senior healthcare and housing.

Ben earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University.

With over 7 years of real estate experience, Ben Barr leads the Asset Management function for Woodside Health. In his role, he focuses on optimizing performance and delivering on investment strategy for each asset. Ben earned his B.S in both Accounting & Finance from The University of Akron.
